On March 25, 2009, ground was broken in Brighton for the construction of 2 Vestas, Inc. manufacturing plants. Vestas makes and sells industrial wind turbines (for generating electrical power), so one factory is to produce turbine blades while the other is to make the nacelles (the actual electricity generators) that the blades attach to. It's estimated that these 2 factories will employ 1,350 people between them.
