Lake Meredith
Looking east on the north shore, Sugar City in the distance
Lake Meredith is probably the primary tourist attraction in Crowley County. It's a pretty large body of water and I hear the fishing is really good. Of course, on the day I come to visit, the wind is howling and there's no one using the lake, except lots of waterfowl and a few seagulls. The lake is just southwest of Sugar City with a public area (where these photos were taken) and a State Wildlife Area maybe a mile further west (different access road, too).
The "pier" on the north shore
Markers for the boat ramp, west side of the "pier"
The Lake Meredith State Wildlife Area is right over there
Some pretty good wave action, good windsurfing day...
