Steamboat Ski Resort includes 6 peaks: Mt. Werner, Storm Peak, Sunshine Peak, Christie Peak, Thunderhead Peak, and Pioneer Ridge®. Steamboat features an 11.8-acre world-class terrain park serviced by its' own chairlift. This is the location of the Mavericks Superpipe: 18-foot walls, 56-feet wide, 22-foot transitions, and 500-feet long. Steamboat even went so far as to establish snowmaking in this area so that Mavericks could be open for use earlier than most other pipes in Colorado. Mavericks is produced and maintained by a state-of-the-art Zaugg 18-foot monster superpipe cutter, a machine that creates an elliptical shape that makes for smoother landings and easier speed gain, resulting in more hits during each run through the pipe.

Steamboat Springs recently celebrated its 100th anniversary and prides itself on maintaining strong ties to its ranching roots in the Wild West days of Colorado. Steamboat Springs has produced a record 69 Olympians who have represented 5 different countries in 120 Olympic appearances during 16 Winter Games. These mountains (and ski slopes) are the stuff dreams are made of... and this is where the world's best dreamers come to prepare themselves to make all their dreams come true.

There are multiple eating options available on the mountain, at the foot of the mountain and in the town of Steamboat Springs. Lodging options range from ski in/ski out slopeside condos to hotel rooms and suites to luxury mountain homes. And at the end of a long day on the slopes you might want to check out the clothing-optional (after dark) hot springs at Strawberry. Ski and snowboard retail, rentals and repairs are available in town and at the resort base area. Steamboat Ski Resort also runs a fully accredited ski school, led by Billy Kidd (Olympic medalist and World Champion).

You'll find plenty of restaurants, lounges, entertainment, apres-ski possibilies and hotels, motels, condos, resort and vacation home rentals in the area.
