Jackson Lake State Park
Located in the Central Flyway and surrounding the 2,411-surface-acre Jackson Lake, birdwatchers and hunters flock to Jackson Lake State Park for the excellent birding opportunities presented here. This "oasis in the plains" offers boating, fishing, swimming and waterskiing in season. Reserve America ranked the swim beach as one of America's "Top 15 Park Beaches." In addition to the water sports and excellent fishing, Jackson Lake State Park offers 260 campsites plus picnic areas and miles of hiking and biking trails.
The daily vehicle park pass costs $7, or you can buy the annual Colorado State Parks pass for $70. Camping is available year-round and a basic site costs $16 per night while an electrified site will run you $20 per night. The camping reservation fee is $10.
