28 miles south of Hansen, Idaho, Magic Mountain Resort is open under new management. Boarders will find some runs here with rails and jumps while the powder skiers will find lots of powder off the beaten (and well-groomed) tracks. The base lodge offers snacks and drinks. A ski and snowboard equipment rental shop is located at the base of the mountain, right next to the certified ski school (where both private and group lessons are available). There's also snowshoe trails, 32 kilometers of cross-country ski trails and a snow tubing hill. To get there: go south from Hansen on Rock Creek Road for 28 miles. |
