Nestled at the base of the Sandia Peak Ski Area, the Double Eagle Day Lodge has large panoramic views of the ski area as well as the Estancia Valley to the east. The Ticket Windows are located at the main entrance on the lower level. As you enter the building, the Information Center and Lost & Found are located on the lower level to the right and the Restrooms are located to the left. The Wintermill Sports Shop, on the upper level, has a variety of logo merchandise as well as items you may have forgotten, such as gloves, goggles, hats, mittens, sun glasses and sun screen. The Double Eagle II Cafe, also on the upper level, is open from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm serving breakfast, lunch and snacks. The equipment Rental Shop is to the north of the main building along the boardwalk offering ski, snowboard and snowblade rentals.
The Sandia Peak Ski Patrol is also north of the main building on the boardwalk and has professional and National Ski Patrol volunteers on duty every day to offer first aid and other necessary medical services. The Snow Sports School, located at the far end of the boardwalk, has PSIA Certified Instructors for full and half day skiing and snowboarding lessons. Lessons begin at 10am and 1pm daily. You can also buy tickets at the snow sports school window.
