Sublette County is in west central Wyoming, between the Salt River Mountains and the Wind River Mountains with the Bridger-Teton National Forest on the northeast and the west county lines. The Green River Rendezvous (mountain man gathering) happens here, just outside of Daniel.
Officially founded in 1921, Sublette County contains 4,883 square miles of land and 53 square miles of water. The county seat is Pinedale.
