Mount Haggin Nordic Ski Area |
The Mile High Nordic Ski Club, working with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks and the Bureau of Land Management, has established more than 25 kilometers of weekly-groomed ski trails that reach to the Continental Divide. About 15 kilometers are tracked for classic cross-country skiing while the remainder is packed and tracked for both skating and classic skiing. These tracks furnish some pretty spectacular winter mountain vistas as they wind their ways through several historic logging camps high in the mountains. The Mount Haggin Nordic Ski Area is 15 miles south of Anaconda on the road to Wisdom, Highway 274. |
